My grandfather (Pardoantonio Vaccaro) and great-grandfather (Giuseppe Distala) came from Bonefro around the turn of the 19th century. My great-great-grandparents (Teodoro Todaro and Maria Paduano) and their daughter, my great-grand mother (Maria Todaro) came from Ripabottoni around the same time. I have been doing research for several years on the family and just came across your site. It is delightful. It makes the thought of a visit very exciting. Thank you.

I just read about the ancient history of the Molise region and the Samnites. This is a very scholarly review of the earliest recorded history of the region my father came from. I want to go back again. The land , the people, the art, the Food! Lifetime memories.

It is amazing to see how many people and family members go into this site. From a small village in Italy where my grandparents and father are from, it was great when I went for a visit for the first time and with friends that are not italian fell in love with the hosptipity of our cousins, the bueaty and tradations. were you come from.
